What are the differences between ultrapure water equipment and pure water equipment?

Ultra-pure water equipment is a water treatment facility that uses data preprocessing, reverse osmosis technology, ultra-purification treatment and post-treatment methods to remove almost all conductive media in water, and to remove colloidal chemicals, gases and organic matter that do not dissociate in water to a very low level.


The pure water system equipment mainly adopts reverse osmosis treatment membrane technology. The basic working principle of it is to apply a certain pressure to water, allowing water molecules and ionic minerals to pass through the reverse osmosis membrane. However, the vast majority of elements dissolved in water require inorganic salts (including some heavy metals), organic matter, and other bacteria, viruses, etc. that cannot choose to pass through the reverse osmosis membrane. This strictly separates the permeable pure water from the non-permeable concentrated water. The pore size on reverse osmosis membranes is only 0.0001 micrometers, while the diameter of viruses is generally 0.02-0.4 micrometers and that of common Chinese bacteria is 0.4-1 micrometers.

The water quality standards for ultrapure water are divided into five sections, namely 18MΩ.cm, 15MΩ.cm, 10MΩ.cm, 2MΩ.cm, and 0.5MΩ.cm, to distinguish different water qualities.

2 Pretreatment → Reverse osmosis → Intermediate Water tank → Water Pump → edi device → Pure Water tank → Pure Water Pump → Ultraviolet Sterilizer → Polishing mixed bed →0.2 or 0.5m precision filter → Target water for use (≥18m cm)(New technology).

3. Reverse osmosis pretreatment →→ Metering machine (PH adjustment) → Intermediate tank → Second-stage reverse osmosis (positively charged reverse osmosis membrane) → Pure water pump and pure water tank →→→EDI device or ultraviolet sterilizer →0.20.5μm precision filter → Water target (≥17 MΩ.cm) (new technology).

4. Pretreatment → Reverse osmosis → an intermediate water tank → water pump →EDI device → Pure water tank → Pure water pump → Ultraviolet sterilizer →0.2 or 0.5μm precision mechanical filter → Water management object (≥15MΩ.cm) (new technology process).

5. Pretreatment system of reverse osmosis system →→→ Pure water pump, intermediate box, coarse and fine mixed bed →→→ Precision filter, UV water disinfection object (≥15MΩ.cm) (conventional treatment) →→ mixed bed.

(2) The process design flow of the pure water system equipment is:

1. Adopt the ion exchange method

→ Water filter → Vacuum filter → anion resin filter bed, anion resin filter bed, anion resin → microporous filter →→→→ Water point

2. Reverse osmosis method

Raw water → raw water booster pump → Multi-media filter, activated carbon filter, softener stage reverse osmosis, PH adjustment for the second stage reverse osmosis →→→ Intermediate tank →→→ Precision filter (RO membrane surface positively charged) → Purified water → Pure water pump →→ Water point micro-pore filter

3. Adopt the EDI method

Raw water → Raw water is pressurized by the pump → multiple media pass through the filter → Activated carbon is used as the filter → water softener → Precision mechanical filter → primary treatment reverse osmosis machine → middle water tank → middle control water pump →EDI system → microporous filter → water usage point
